The DSA Logo
To ensure DSA maintains a consistent visual identity across all platforms, please include our logo whenever possible in all the graphics and documents you create.
Versions of the Logo
Main Logo
This multi-color version of our logo should be used first in all of your designs – especially those that utilize DSA Red as a background.
Note that the multi-racial clasped hands are the result of members of color pushing for a logo change, so it is important to honor that history whenever it is feasible by using black and white in the logo.
If the background is another color, you can also use this logo if you include a circle or square of DSA Red beneath it.

Single-Color Logos
The only approved colorations of the main logo are entirely white or entirely black. The black version can be black or DSA Black. These monochromatic versions of the logo should be placed directly on the background.

Using the Logo
Placing the Logo on a Shape – Ratio Guidelines
The size and placement of the logo is relative to the circle or square it’s placed in. The logo should not be vertically centered. Instead, it should follow a ratio of 5:13:2, where 5 is the space above the logo, 13 is the height of the logo, and 2 is the space below the logo.

Gutter Space
Gutters separate elements from one another. For all versions of the logo, include a gutter of at least 20% around the logo.
The gutter should be free of other design elements. This provides room for the logo to stand alone.

The gutter can be found by multiplying the dimensions of the logo by 1.20.

If your design utilizes a circle or square of DSA Red, the gutter should be extended 20% beyond the edge of the shape.
Things to Avoid

Do not center the logo vertically in a shape. Follow the ratio guidelines.

Do not scale the logo smaller than 1” in either dimension.
Do not warp, stretch, or recolor any version of the logo.

Selecting a Logo
Dark Background Colors
If the background is a dark or high-saturation color, use the main logo with a circle or square of DSA Red, or the white version of the logo.
